Notes | LASOLV is a computational system based on new principles that NTT is engaged in research and development. We derive a solution to the combinatorial optimization problem by taking advantage of the fact that a large number of interconnected optical parametric oscillator (OPO) pulses oscillate in the most stable overall combination of phases. Because LASOLV operates at room temperature and can use the properties of light to obtain solutions at high speed, it is expected to solve a previously difficult problem. | |
